Featuring a response by writer and curator Matt Price to Arts Council West Midlands’ commissioned research and showcasing work by some of the region's most exciting talent, Cultivate is the perfect complement to Art of Ideas II.
Elizabeth Hawley, Visual Arts Officer, Arts Council England, West Midlands comments, "Art of Ideas II pursues the debate about the region’s visual art market, seeking to probe it in a deeper way and to help create the circumstances in which an environment of production and presentation, buying and patronage, acquisition and collecting can not only exist, but flourish."
ART OF IDEAS II is a partnership project between Arts Council England, Arts & Business, Business Link West Midlands and Birmingham City Council. It is managed by Arts Co and supported by Targetfollow, Own Art, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall.
