Glenn Campbell
An established designer maker Glenn Campbell studied in Manchester and then set up his design studio in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. His jewellery designs evolve from observing how different processes like forging or folding affect the shape of a metal form. Running parallel to this he seeks to create jewellery with forms that echo the subtle qualities of shapes found in nature. Seeds, pods and leaves are a perennial fascination, which lend themselves well to interpretation through metal. In his work he folds, form and twists as a blacksmith, often leaving these techniques visible in the finished work. He works in hand forged silver and gold.
