Muriel Bonnet

A fine art documentary/narrative photographer, Muriel Bonnet was born in France where she studied at the Université de Caen. She is now living in Birmingham, graduating in 2005 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Communication (Photography). She is a member of the Fédération Photographique de France, the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique, Rhubarb-Farm and the Art Photography group (Untitled). She works mainly with analogue photography in both black and white and colour.  Her images reveal her moral and aesthetic concerns but also her extensive travels in Europe and beyond.  Her portfolio provides a beautiful documentation of European cities.  The black and white work has a traditional, classical feel. Her distinctive style is documentary, often narrative.  Muriel’s objective is to allow the viewer to feel the atmosphere of the place, its heritage and its people’s present life styles.  Her work has been exhibited in the Birmingham Open, in New Art Birmingham 2007, at the Rhubarb International Festival of the Image and in the AOP Gallery in London. At present Muriel is working on personal and group projects and takes on commissions.
