— Necklace For a Wallflower by Betty Pepper
This necklace is designed to be worn hanging down the back.
It is set on to a fabric sample book and could be displayed suspended above
this in a box frame when not being worn. The wearer can be disguised as part of
the wallpaper. The large size of the piece fights with the wearer’s desire to
hide themselves. It is made from antique laces reminiscent of Victorian parlour
curtains.
