This photograph is from a series of images from ‘Multi-Cultures and the City’ project in conjunction with Collide and Wolverhampton Arts and Museums. The project depicts portraits from a few members of the community from varying backgrounds. The initial inspiration came when a friend told the photographer there were more people from different backgrounds in Wolverhampton than in the whole of Sandwell. This photograph of Mr. Klek came about when Anand found out through a Polish community worker of his amazing stories about the Second World War and how he came to be in England.
