— Ellipse Bangle by Miranda Sharpe
The shape used for these bangles is a beautiful simple form that sits elegantly on the wrist. Through these pieces I have explored ways to combine the resin and colour with the silver by adding angles to create different effects. As well as using coloured resins and enamels within my work I also use gold-leaf, within one of these bangles adding a layer of gold-leaf to the higher surface area and using translucent resin the optical effect gives a warm golden hue to the piece that changes depending on the angle that the piece is viewed.
