British ceramic artist Margaret O'Rorke is exhibiting new work entitled 'Woven Light and Porcelain Installation' in the international exhibition at The Northern Clay Centre, Minneapolis, USA.
The work was made in Sanbuoi, China in 2009. To make this stunning artwork Margaret collaborated with Finnish art weaver Sirkka Paikkari. The installation is 3m high and features the high-fired porcelain which provides translucent forms that give light. Margaret's ideas stem from the nature of the material, the process of firing and a sense of adventure with light and space. The piece is exhibited in the USA until January 2010 and will then be available for exhibition or sale.
