— Hortons’ Estate Celebrates its Life Through a Lens

— 19 April 2010

Longstanding Arts & Business member and established property company Hortons’ Estate recently approached Visual to help create a focal artwork for their new reception area. The family owned company has a wealth of experience and a large portfolio behind them and commissioned Michael Hallett to interpret and celebrate their Birmingham portfolio in a new photographic work to supplement their already extensive art collection.

Tony Green, Chief Executive of Hortons’ Estate explains, “Having refurbished our Colmore Row offices in the summer of 2009, Hortons were keen to have a unique piece of artwork to take pride of place in the main reception area. We are fortunate to have as one of our tenants, Arts & Business, who were able to assist us in finalising our brief and identifying suitable artists through Visual.

Photographer Mike Hallett worked closely with us over a couple of months and created a photo construction piece entitled Aspects:  “A unique depiction of Hortons’ Birmingham portfolio” which was unveiled in our reception on 4th February 2010."
